    Rockingham has changed from being a sleepy little sea-side town, to being almost a suburb of Perth - but it has retained a relaxed and casual feel, while having trendy restaurants and coffee shops on the beach front.

    Unlike most of the beaches of Perth, the water is calm and perfect for children, or people who don't like surf, or dumping waves. There is a nice grassed picnic area on the foreshore.

    Friendly staff. Heaps of parking places. If you park in the overflow car park you don't have long to wait for a bus or walk the 400 meters to the station. However the toilet floor in the Ladies is sticky and really grotty , desperately in need of a good scrub !

    Not bad if you wanna catch a train, not much else here though. Could do with a few Cafes.

    You need to get a bus from the train station, if you take public transport, but it's quite easy, and connections are good.
